I don't think home is where the heart is could be a more true expression. I'll hear a song on the radio, or see a commercial on T.V. and instantly think about home. When we are younger, we do everything we can to get away from the town we call home, because most of the time we'll think that our town is small or boring.
When it all comes down to it, we almost always end up either in our home town, or a town just like it. We make excuses such as, "It's a great place to raise kids", or "I like the peace and quiet here". We can make all the excuses in the world for where we choose to live, but the simple fact is that usually it's within our comfort zone, and it's what we are used to.
Some people might think of small towns having a population of maybe 10,000 people. Home, to me, is just about 5,000 (maybe a little more), but i love it just the way it is and wouldn't change anything about it.
