I don't think home is where the heart is could be a more true expression. I'll hear a song on the radio, or see a commercial on T.V. and instantly think about home. When we are younger, we do everything we can to get away from the town we call home, because most of the time we'll think that our town is small or boring.
When it all comes down to it, we almost always end up either in our home town, or a town just like it. We make excuses such as, "It's a great place to raise kids", or "I like the peace and quiet here". We can make all the excuses in the world for where we choose to live, but the simple fact is that usually it's within our comfort zone, and it's what we are used to.
Some people might think of small towns having a population of maybe 10,000 people. Home, to me, is just about 5,000 (maybe a little more), but i love it just the way it is and wouldn't change anything about it.

natural wonders
Near the
town where I live, we have a natural wonder.
This wonder is called Rock City Park.
Inside this amazing park are some unbelievably beautiful natural rock
formations. There are even some that
people imagine could be an Indian chief’s head…
Although
some people believe that there are only 7 wonders in the world, I believe that
natural wonders are the best ones of all.
No one drew up the plans to make these beautiful things, they’re just
there. Don’t get me wrong, I think that
the “7 world wonders” are beautiful, but I would much rather sit, relax, and
gaze at the wonders around me.
When you
get a couple free moments, think about some natural wonders that you have
seen. They may not be world wonders, but
they can still be wonders to the people around you. You might not be able to see it, but there is a trail in between these rocks.
